The traumatizing defeat against Frieza was the start. Then Trunks and Bulma changed him. My plans are beyond your comprehension. User Info: thetruehedgehog. The first time Vegeta shown evidence of being "good," was surprisingly getting angry when Super Perfect Cell attacked Future Trunks.

During the Android Saga, Dr. Gero attacked Bulma when she was in that flying thing. When Future Trunks asked Vegeta why he didn't try to save them, Vegeta implied that he didn't care about them. He wasn't that It was Bulma mostly. In Episode 28 or 29 in Super Goku and Vegeta both talked about how they are happy with their wifes bc they have a strong will. Piccolo was shocked in the Background and seems to understand it now.

Really funny. User Info: Jtrunks. I think it was less him wanting to be good, but rather Realizing being bad had next to no benefit. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested. If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone.

It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules.

That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them. An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false.

But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created. Post by Vegitofaxx » Thu Apr 02, am dbzfan7 wrote: I prefer to say on the side of good, than good guy.

You're right; calling him "talentless" wasn't fair. Post by mAcChaos » Mon Apr 06, pm dbzfan7 wrote: I prefer to say on the side of good, than good guy. Vegeta never apologizes and certainly never cares about anyone other than himself. When he discovers that Gohan has "died" at the hands of Majin Boo and resolves to avenge him for Goku and atone for letting his ego get in the way. Vegeta finally swallows his pride and admits that Goku is number one. There is no Dragon Ball canon. He murdered, killed, and destroyed entire civilizations as a means to find a way to kill Frieza and conquer the universe.

However, like with all of Goku's greatest rivals, Vegeta did a and turned into a good guy. But which Vegeta is better; the one on the side of good or evil? Today we'll be giving five reasons why Vegeta is better as a villain and five reasons why he's better as a hero. When Vegeta let himself fall under the spell of Babidi, he returned back to the side of evil and went on a rampage.

Not only did he not care about anyone, including his family, but he went on to become even stronger than he ever was. He able to achieve Super Saiyan 2, and also finally able to go toe-to-toe against with Goku. Never have we seen a rival battle as great as this one ever be pulled off.

Since the Buu Saga, Dragon Ball has become one of the best buddy-cop shows of all time. We've had Goku and Vegeta teaming up for just about every major fight that's happened. Vegeta is the no-nonsense cop, while Goku is the upbeat wise guy.

As with any good cop film, Goku and Vegeta's personalities are always clashing, but they manage to get the job done. Having Vegeta be a villain wouldn't lead to great moments like Goku and Vegeta trying to take out Prum from Universe 2 before the other could.

They say the best kind of villain is the one who's a dark reflection of the hero. Batman and the Joker are polar opposites of each other; Venom is a hulked out version of Spider-Man, Thor and Loki are brothers that want each other defeated, and so on.

Vegeta would have been the perfect opposite of Goku. Both of them fight to get stronger, but Goku is also a protector of the innocent, while Vegeta couldn't care less about the lives of others.

One is a low-class warrior that trained with the greatest martial artist in the cosmos, while the other received the best training from the Saiyan elite.
